Paul Barres adventure in Fronsac began in 1974 when he purchased Château La Grave. 8 years later he branched out into Canon-Fronsac with the addition of Château La Fleur Cailleau. This family-run 15 hectare winery has a history with Biodynamie that started back in 1990. They were DEMETER certified in 1998. A strong believer of individual expression within an AOC, Paul deeply trusts that pruning and a deep observation of the vine are the key to anticipating the majority of illnesses of the vine, not forgetting the importance of Biodynamic principals. Paul, along with the help of Pascale, Gabriel, Edith and Popof the plough horse, elaborates honest wines that are a tribute to terroir quality and Pauls profession.
