Great Rhône Valley wine, Grignan-les-Adhémar, appellation d’origine contrôlée, made from Syrah.
Great complexity with this Syrah! Hints of almond, coffee, violets and vanilla swirl around deeper aromas of blackberries, cherry jam and liquorice. Full bodied and long on the aftertaste buds!

35 hectares of Syrah, Grenache, Viognier, Marsanne and Carignan, enclosed by the summits of the alpine foothills, lavender fields and apricot trees, compose the Serre des Vignes winery. Located in the heart of the lesser-known Grignan-les-Adhémar appellation, this was one of the first wineries in the area to start seriously cultivating syrah, which was planted during the 1980s. Cousins Jérôme and Vincent Roux currently lead this family-run, award-wining vineyard originally founded by their grandparents. The two have always shared a mutual understanding concerning wine making and the environment and the first major change they gambled on was to move production, previously at a cooperative, onsite. The gamble worked, and the first onsite vintage, 2003, was a success. A new modern winery replaced the previous one, and the cousins quickly found themselves at ease at combining tradition with modernity. Officially organic since 2008, the Roux cousins will never compromise the importance of terroir and controlling yields for their wines.
